Leadership Breckinridge County

Mission
The mission of Leadership Breckinridge County is to develop the leadership potential within the community. The program will bring together individuals in the community who demonstrate the talent and commitment for leadership. Participants will get the chance to learn about their community as well as to learn the necessary skills to be successful in leadership.
Overview
Leadership Breckinridge County is a program in which a selected number of individuals from the community will participate in a series of sessions to develop their leadership skills while learning about the opportunities, qualities, resources, and challenges in the community. The program will consist of one session a month over a nine month period. The program will begin in September with a retreat and end in May with graduation.
The program will include:
- Facility Tours
- At Least a one full day of class a month (2 day retreat in September and 2 day program in February on Government Day)
- Group Activities
- Speakers on different subjects
- Leadership Training
- Group Project
Attendance
The purpose of Leadership Breckinridge County is to give selected individuals an opportunity to receive leadership training while learning about different aspects of the community. Attendance at each is session is MANDATORY. Due to emergencies, participants may miss no more than one session or they will not graduate from the program. In the case that an individual must miss more than one session they can graduate the next year by attending the sessions that were missed.
Tuition
Tuition for the program is $300.00 and includes all expenses for the program. Tuition should be paid by September 30, 2010.
